Shoeboxes and the Day of Giving and Sharing-Two Huge Blessings!

I have to admit-I underestimated the J103 audience! I set the goal for our Operation Christmas Child Shoeboxes far to low-I wondered if we could see 500 boxes come in for us to deliver to the Life Care Center Drop Off Center in Cleveland. The weekend before we lost count, literally. People began dropping off the boxes and they were placed inside our prize cruisers at remotes etc. When we got to Cleveland-we had no real idea of how many you had donated. I had a good idea that we had surpassed the 500 number. The J103 van could not fit another box inside. The prize cruiser was filled, and the trailer was half way full. I asked the volunteers to count the boxes for us as they unloaded them. When they were done.......925 BOXES!!!! Thank you! Each of those boxes represents a child that will be presented with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Please pray that each of those boxes will not only bring a smile to the face of that child, but will enable their heart's door to be opened and Jesus woujld take up residence. Their entire family and village can be changed because of these Miracles in a Shoebox!

Yesterday's Day of Giving and Sharing was so fun. I look forward to the Day of Giving each year. It is so exciting to see the studio phone lines jammed full of listeners trying to get through to share what God has done in their lives and of course to win the multitude of giveaways we had. You again blessed this ministry incredibly by calling in telephone central and gave over $10,617.00. Thank you for your faithfullness once again for this ministry.

I am excited about the next week or two. Tomorrow morning after the morning show my wife, Amy and I are going to be heading up to Dollywood to get ready to broadcast the morning show from there Friday morning and that afternoon's remote. After the remote on Friday we will head back so we can be ready for Saturday's J103 Pancake Breakfast with Santa at the Acropolis 6-9am.
