...those words probably come to my mind way too often when i'm driving. i'm not a full on road rager, but i can get pretty condescending and quite the inner-attitude with other people from behind the wheel. it's a weakness to say the least. this week though, our pastor preached on racism and prejudice, an unusual sermon to say the least, but one as Christians we probably don't hear enough....

do you know the Biblical recount of Ruth? back in those times, according to God's command, after a farmer had plowed his field and reaped his harvest he was to allow the poor people to pick up anything that was leftover. this act was called "gleaning" and through it Ruth was able to feed her family....

i just got back this afternoon from a weekend on top of Mt Leconte. we usually spend a night up there every year around Mother's day, me, my dad and my brother. the past three years my Uncle Mark has been able to go as well which has been fun. if you've never been to Leconte, it's really close to the Townsend and Gatlinburg area up in the Smoky Mountains....
