Charges Dismissed

The week before Christmas I was involved in a 2 car accident involving a Chattanooga Police Car. I never saw him coming and pulled out of the Mount Vernon Restaurant on Broad Street, and the officer, responding to another accident, slid into me-almost totalling my car and doing $4,000 in damage to the police cruiser. I received a citation for not having current proof of insurance (our new insurance card was on the counter at home), and for failure to yield.

My day in court came this morning. I took off early from the morning show and appeared in front of Judge Patty. She saw my current proof of insurance and saw where I have always been insured, and after hearing my account of the accident she dismissed both charges pending a 6 month driving probation and pay of court costs.

I paid my 65.25 and came back to the radio station.

You know, one day I am going to stand before the Ultimate Judge in Heaven, He is going to look at the Lambs Book of Life and Jesus is going to step in and say "Father, I have already paid the penalty for Ted's sin." God is going to look at me and, because of Jesus, say All Charges Dismissed.

I just hope I am not in another "court room" until then!!!
