J103 - I am not an electrician!!!!

One of my weaknesses is fixing anything!!!
There is a fluorescent light in Amy's closet and one in the kitchen that the light bulbs had begun to flicker. I replaced the bulbs and they still flickered. So someone told me the ballast were going bad.

I managed to take down the old ballasts and get to Home Depot to buy replacements. The light fixtures we have are so old that I had to buy different ones. I came home, had to drill sheet metal screws to mount the new ballasts, spliced all of the wires and replaced the bulbs........They still flicker!!!!!

I called our JFEST electrician Derek and he told me that I was probably using the wrong bulbs. New updated ballasts now mean new efficient bulbs.

Another trip back to the store!!!!!!!
