Gordon Mote In Concert
North Etowah Baptist Church is honored to host an evening of worship with Gordon Mote on Sunday, March 3rd at 6:00pm. He has been awarded "Top Piano/Keyboard Player of the Year" by The Academy of Country Music twice recently, and nominated by The Country Music Association as “Musician of the Year.” He has received multiple Dove Award nominations and his latest project “Gordon Mote Sings Hymns and Songs of Inspiration” was nominated for a Grammy at The 59th Annual Grammy Awards, as “Best Roots Gospel Album of the Year.” Gordon began playing piano at the age of 3 and toured with his family. His undeniable talent has made him an award- winning Nashville sessions player in demand for such notable artists as Alan Jackson, George Strait, Blake Shelton, Kenny Chesney, Darius Rucker and Josh Turner to name a few. The list goes on with such names as Pop artists, Lionel Ritchie, Kid Rock, Carrie Underwood and every notable Gospel artist. Gordon traveled over six years singing and playing for the popular Gaither Homecoming concerts and multiple Grammy Award winning Gaither Vocal Band. He currently performs approximately 130 solo concerts per year. The vocalist, producer and keyboardist extraordinaire has been blind since birth, but his words and music reach beyond the ears to the heart. More than his incredible talent, Mote's fans appreciate his ability to communicate the love of Christ to a world in need of hope. This is a free concert with a love offering.
