I wanted to vote

I find it hard to believe that there are people who choose not to vote. I'm not talking about those who occasionally forget to go or have such a busy day that they can't get away to go to their polling place.

Since I turned 18 I have missed very few opportunities to vote. When you look at countries where the public opinion is not respected yet alone allowed to be shared it humbles me to think God has given us these freedoms.

Then there are those who have stood up and given their lives so I can have the freedoms we have because of our democracy.

Yesterday afternoon, after leaving the station and getting home, Amy and I went to vote. Our polling place was closed. We went to the downtown Ringgold Courthouse Annex and learned that we had nothing to vote on. It was only the city of Ringgold and the city of Fort Oglethorpe and not Catoosa County that had an election yesterday. Since we don't live in either of those cities limits we had nothing to vote on.

If you don't vote.....then you shouldn't criticize the decisions that are made.
