Leaky washer-craigslist and God's perfect timing

God's timing is always perfect. The struggle I've had for years is waiting. To be honest-I'm not that patient of a person. I can sit still and see a project through, or watch a long movie-those things never bother me. The times where my "patience" is tested is when things aren't going as I've planned.

We bought a washing machine about 8 years ago from one of our neighbors (for $100). It served us well-we definitely got our moneys worth. The last several months though, apparently a part of the washer went out and everytime Amy washed clothes a steady stream of water would leak/rush out the bottom. So to wash clothes-you had to stand there and mop up all the water.

Over the Christmas break-God blessed us with a "new to us" car to replace the one I had been driving for sometime. We listed it on craigslist and God brought the perfect buyers (J103 listeners) who paid in cash.

You should have seen my wife's face when we went and bought the a new washing machine and then the next day when it was delivered.

Let's just say......all the mopping and yes, even the waiting for the car to sell-was worth it!

I used to ask God for patience and then say "Now hurry up and give it to me." Not anymore. If you pray for patience-God is going to give it to you......in his perfect timeing.
