Take your children to these awesome events this weekend!

This weekend there is a lot going on in the area, and we do not want you to miss out on any of the fun! Here are some options for you and your family if you are looking for some fun for this holiday weekend.

In Ringgold, Georgia there will be the first annual Butterfly Festival, in honor of 2016 Alumni Katie Beth Carter who passed away, one year ago, on Labor Day, in a car accident. All festival proceeds will go to the Katie Beth Carter Memorial Fundraiser scholarship. This festival will be on Saturday, September 2, from 2-6 pm at Heritage High School, 3960 Poplar Springs Road. The admission is $5 for children 3 and under. $10 for children over 3, $50 maximum per family.

There is some Roping & Riding going on as the Kensington Rodeo will be held on Saturday and Sunday night, September 2 & 3 at Cove Arena, Blue Bird Gap Rd., in Chickamauga. The gates open at 6 p.m. and the competition will start at 8. Tickets are $12 for adults and $5 for children, 11 and under.

If you have never been to the Chattanooga Market this weekend may be the weekend to check it out. On Sunday, September 3, at the First Tennessee Pavilion, 1829 Carter St. The fourth annual Run of Honor 8K and 1- Mile fun run will start the day, followed by the Hot Rod and Auto Show from 11a.m. to 4 p.m. on Carter street in front of the pavilion. If you are in the mood fro some live music this is the place for you, as they will have a number of different live bands there.

If you and your kids are looking for a place to spend the last days of summer, check out Lake Winnipesaukah's water park, SoakYa. Monday, September 4 is the last day they will be open, but Lake Winnepesaukah itself will remain open 10 am-10pm, Saturdays and 12-6 pm Sundays through September. The Lake WinnepeSpookah each Friday and Saturday in October.

Batter Up! The Chattanooga Lookouts are wrapping up their season with five home games with one on Friday and Saturday, September 1 and 2, at 7:15, Sunday at 6:15,and Monday is at 2:15. Tickets are any where from $4 to $10.

If you are out and about, beware for he sharks! In Rockwood, Tennessee at Tom Fuller Park, 1369 Pumphouse Road, there is going to be "Jaws" played on the Water, from 7-11:30 pm on Sunday, September 3. Admission is%5 if you bring your own float to enjoy the movie in, or $7 or $10 for admission and a float rental.

The Cumberland County Fair will be at 34 Music Road, Crossville, Tennessee at 5:30 on Friday, September 1- Saturday, September 2 starting at 9:30 am. Admission is $5.

The Cowboy Western Heritage Festival is going to be taking place on Saturday, September 2 from 9 am- 4 pm with a free admission for everyone. It will be at the Historic Summerville Depot, on East Washington Street in Summerville, Georgia.

Eastdale Elementary school is having a reunion! On Saturday, September 2 from 11 am- 7 pm you can get together with all of your former classmates and educators. This event will be held at the Eastdale Recreation Center, 1314 Moss Drive.

The Knights of Columbus Labor Day Picnic and Family Festival will be in Hixson, at Camp Columbus, 8601 Camp Columbus Road from 9 am- 5pm on Monday, September 4. The admission is free, and what better way to celebrate Labor Day then having a picnic?

Labor Day at the Post, is coming to Barnhardt Circle polo field , in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia from 11 am- 5 pm, Monday, September 4. The admission is free, other than a little charge for kid's activities.

Have you ever wanted to ride in a Hot Air Balloon? In Madisonville, Tennessee at the Tsali Notch Vineyard, at 140 Harrison Road, you can take that ride. From 2pm-10 Saturday, and Sunday, September 2-3, there will be hot air balloons, live music, and much more. The admission is $10 for adults, $5 for children 12 and younger.

Make a visit to the Sale Creek Farm, and shop until you drop! From 10 am -5 pm on Saturday, September 2 you can shop the Traveling Bazaar's Fall Barn Sale, in Sale Creek, at 16705 Coulterville Road. Admission is free!
