Imagine your child sitting at the computer, looking at a safe website, and all of a sudden the camera pops on, and you hear a little click as the microphone is activated, now if you’ve got parent ears you know instantly to run over and investigate, but what if you’re not home and the child is by themselves… This actually happened to me in 2017, I was looking at a webpage for graphic design, and all of a sudden I heard a click in the blue light came on for the camera... so to not have that happen again...
