Christian-based STEAM Summer Camps
Rhea County Academy and Core Academy of Science are excited to host fun, educational summer camps that offer S.T.E.A.M (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Mathematics) activities in a Christ-centered environment. Camps offered are listed below:
All Sports Camp I, For rising 1st - 3rd grades & All Sports Camp II, for rising 4th-6th grades. Play games? Yes! Female & male athletes will practice essential skills to coordinate their bodies while learning the basic rules of sports they can play throughout their life. Basketball, soccer, gaga, and more! Join Coach Parrott for a morning or afternoon guaranteed to keep you moving and learning with your whole body.
Royal Academy Camp - For rising 1st- 3rd grades. True Princes & Princesses lead with grace and knowledge for Christ. Join Lady Lorilei and the team of Senior Princesses for a week of training in STEAM, poise, and charm that will benefit your entire realm.
Jedi Camp - For rising 1st - 4th grades. Padawans - use your Force, the force of your words, the force of your body, the force of your decisions to explore STEM, design process, and team building. With Jedi Master Lorilei and Jedi Knights you will also use your Force to fight Sith and destroy the Death Star when you complete your training.
Lego Camp - For rising 5th - 9th grades. Seeking Builders & Makers - here's your camp! Collaborating with your team of builders, use your engineering knack to conquer complicated challenges with simple bricks. This week will also explore some Lego Robotics and the Rube Goldberg machine.
Camp Creation: Hands-On Life Science - For rising 8th - 12th grades. You're ready to bring all that theoretical science into real-life action? Core Academy has the tools you need for a week of life science dissections and experiments. Complete a semester's worth of labs in one week with our instructor team.
Camp Creation: Dinosaur Edition - For ages 12 - 18 years old. Even students can contribute to the body of scientific knowledge. Core Academy offers the unique opportunity to unearth and catalog genuine specimens for university cataloging. In other words, we’re gonna prep real dinosaur bones for museum collections! Be a part of growing the body of knowledge of Christ’s amazing world.
