Come join us for an evening filled with the Christmas spirit at the annual Candlelight Walk in Historic Downtown Tellico Plains TN.
Stroll through streets illuminated by the glow of candlelight. Ride in a horse-drawn wagon, enjoy live entertainment at the town square gazebo. Pay a visit to the Grinch and the “Whoville” characters, view the beautiful live nativity. Watch the lighting of the Christmas tree, stop by the silent auction and place a bid on something that catches your eye, visit Santa Claus at the Santa House and have your picture taken with him.
Downtown merchants extend their hours and open their doors to serve complimentary refreshments.
Visit the Cookie Caper in the lobby of Town Hall and tantalize your taste buds with fresh baked cookies and candy that are sold by the pound and prepared by the ladies of the Cherokee Women’s Club. Your personal selections will be all wrapped up in white boxes with a big red bow. Proceeds from the Cookie Caper and the silent auction go back into the community for college scholarships, town beautification, library support, poetry and essay contests and other opportunities that may need support during the year.
The annual Candlelight Walk is organized by the Cherokee Women’s Club and sponsorship from the Town of Tellico Plains.

Funds Raised at this event support the public library, scholarships for high school seniors, and other programs for children and families.
