The most special time of the year is only a few weeks away and the Katinas are helping the celebration begin. "Sounds of Christmas," the Katinas newest project, releasing November 10th is already receiving rave reviews from radio and media as the classic song "Little Drummer Boy" is being added to playlists. Creating songs that families could enjoy together has always been the focus of the Katinas music and ministry. "Sounds of Christmas" continues to follow that pattern with such holiday favorites as "O Come All Ye Faithful," "Mary Did You Know," and "Silent Night." "We have always loved listening to Christmas music of all genres," says James. "Sounds of Christmas gave us an opportunity to make a Christmas record that drew from different sounds both sonically and stylistically. Our hope is that the entire family will be able to enjoy these Christmas Classics with perhaps a different twist." The Katinas consist of five brothers, James, Jesse, Joe, John, and Sam who are from the Samoan Islands and have been touring and recording for the past 15 years.
