The Christian music industry and fans all over are shocked to hear that Dana Key has died.  Key was half of the Christian rock group De Garmo & Key which was founded in the late 70's and became popular through the 80's and even into the 90's.  Key was a pioneer in what later became solid Christian rock music and deserves much credit for his participation.

Key had over twenty albums released over his career.  One of De Garmo & Key's most memorable songs was Boycott Hell which was later rerecorded by the Newsboys.   It was just one of the great memories Key leaves behind.   Key was an inspiration to many who grew up to the new sounds of 80's Christian rock.  He had a heart for God and will be missed.

Before his passing, Key was a pastor at the TLC Community Church in Memphis, Tennessee.

Dana Key died from blood clot at the age of 56 on June 6th, 2010.
